brewfest

Most likely, you already know, but just in case you haven’t yet heard: The Buffalo Brewfest is this weekend, Aug 25th, at the Central Terminal, 495 Paderewski Drive. Tickets are $20.00 ahead of time, $25.00 day-of, (though I wouldn’t count on buying tickets at the door) and come with twenty tokens- good for twenty samples, though extra tokens will be available at $1.00 each. Doors open at 1:00, taps on at 2:00. All proceeds benefit the Central Terminal Restoration Committee and the Buffalo Speech and Hearing Center.

This year, the organizers have expanded the offerings yet again- more brewers will be bringing even more beers than last year. Tim Herzog at Flying Bison tells me there will be over 80 libations to try- including more Polish offerings from Chicago importer Stawski, who wowed us with their meads last year. Buffalo Beverage Corp will also be loading up some Polish beers, offering Tyske. Among the breweries to look out for, I am especially excited to try the beers of Roosterfish, a very small but highly-regarded operation out of Watkin’s Glen, NY.

So, come one, come all! Tix are available at many area locations, check the Brewfest Website for more details, or buy your tix online! See you there!
