Anyone who has written—or really, even read—a blog can appreciate that it is a lot of work for one person to keep it updated enough to be dynamic and interesting on a daily basis. And if the principle writer also has his hands in a number of other cookie jars (being a new dad, teaching, Beer-O-Vision video, &c.), well, it’s no understatement to say that a little help doesn’t hurt. How BuffaloPundit does it, I have to wonder in awe.
So, the Beer-O-Vision blog is proud to introduce or first contributing writer. A former and native Buffalonian (and yes, a close & old friend of mine), Matt has been sweatin’ down in TX since 2001. Though he works in academic administration, his beery credentials are solid. I know because we started homebrewing together down in Tucson, Arizona, where we were roommates. For some of that time he was employed by the Breckenridge Brewpub; you may recall that they had a location in Buffalo, as well (the company wisely decided that being a national brewpub chain wasn’t for them, and closed down all their locations outside of Colorado.) Matt and I have been exploring our love of beer & brewing for a long time now, and I know that he will contribute an original and highly entertaining voice to the blog. As well, he’ll bring a slightly wider scope to the blog. We are Buffalo, NY based, sure, but let’s face it: our subject and our audience is worldwide, at minimum. (I simply refuse to reject the exciting possibility of alien beer)
Welcome aboard, Matt! Hey, what’s going on down at Live Oak, anyway? Their Pilz is freaking awesome!
