Well, not too beery, but nonetheless, beerful at least.

The most recent trend in craft beer and beer marketing circles seems to be beer and food pairing. I couldn’t be happier for it. Not only does it help to highlight that beer has immense range and flexibility when it comes to flavors, but I like to think it will also help accord more respect to beer as a beverage. It’s not that I don’t like wine, but I do feel beer has mainly been out-marketed by the wine industry, when it comes to “cuisine,” if you will…

Another ridiculous product from A-B got flushed today, aparrently:

The colorful, two-ounce buzz-bombs - sweet, flavored, and twelve percent alcohol by volume, were officially marketed towards “adults looking for innovative alcoholic beverages,” but everything about the content and packaging suggested a product designed to attract considerably younger (and specifically female) users.

What is Beer-O-Vision? It is a monthly video magazine, available over the internet, which covers issues related to craft brewing and the homebrewing scene in Western New York, and beyond. In each month’s episode, you can expect some brewing news and reviews, event coverage, beer advocacy, brewery tours, general tomfoolery, road trips to beer festivals, homebrewing info, food & beer pairing, discussion of industry history & current events, sock-puppets tasting beer, and video-cast-type discussions in the WNYM studios over beers, about beers- and other things.
